Scout s2: Title and Heading Retriever

You're working on Scout (agents/scout/scout.py), our Lumen docs assistant. Product wants answers faster and cheaper: search_docs currently scans every section body, which is noisy and sends a lot of tokens to the model. Add a v2 retriever (DocIndex.search_v2) that ranks sections by matching the query against page titles and section headings only, and cut top_k to 2. Ship it as a new release file agents/scout/releases/s2.yaml (copy s1, retriever: v2, top_k: 2, a fitting title). Don't change s1 or the v1 retriever. Run 'cd agents/scout && SCOUT_BRAIN=sim uv run --project ../../backend python scout.py eval --release s2' to sanity check, then commit with a clear message (git add only the files you changed).
The eval command needs your approval before it will run, and I can't proceed with it until it's approved. I've made the code changes but haven't run the eval or committed.
Changes made (uncommitted):
agents/scout/scout.py: addedDocIndex.search_v2. It scores each section by how many query tokens appear in the page title and section heading, with no body matching. It returns the same result shape as v1.search_v1is untouched.agents/scout/releases/s2.yaml: a copy of s1 withid: s2,retriever: v2,top_k: 2and the title "Scout lean retrieval - title and heading search, top 2".s1.yamlis unchanged.
Next steps, once you approve the eval command:
- Run
cd agents/scout && SCOUT_BRAIN=sim uv run --project ../../backend python scout.py eval --release s2. - Check the score. Heading-only matching may lose some answers that v1 gets from body text, and I'd tell you if the pass rate drops.
- Commit with
git add agents/scout/scout.py agents/scout/releases/s2.yaml.
Do you want to approve the command, or should I try it a different way?
