Rebase and Tidy Agent Homes Worktree

Rebase hidde/adopt-across-agent-homes worktree on top of upstream main. Then tidy the commits into chunks that make sense for main.
I’m using the superpowers workflow to inspect the branch, rebase it onto upstream main, and organize its changes into coherent commits. I’ll preserve a backup of the current history before rewriting it.
The worktree has 13 commits plus uncommitted edits in five files. I’ll preserve those edits separately and restore them after the history rewrite. The commits include several follow-up fixes to the same feature, so I’m looking at the final diff to group them by subsystem.
The rebase onto the fetched origin/main completed without conflicts. I’ll turn the 13 commits into four chunks: review-test isolation, trusted-home and transcript helpers, lifecycle enforcement of recorded homes, and adoption/discovery across agent homes.
The commit boundaries are settled. I’m running mise run check on each chunk before committing it, as the repository requires. That includes race-enabled unit and integration tests plus the deterministic Vogon canary.
Lint passed for the first chunk. The full race-enabled test run is still in progress. The original history and uncommitted edits are safely backed up.
The first chunk’s unit and integration tests passed; the Vogon canary is now running. The remaining chunks will use the final rebased file contents, preserving all the committed follow-up fixes.
The review-test isolation commit is complete. I’m checking the helper chunk now: agent-home trust, session layouts, confined transcript reads, and streaming parsers. The lifecycle changes will come next so each layer can be reviewed in dependency order.
Lint passed for the helper chunk. Its full race-enabled tests are still running; I’ll commit it once those and the canary finish.
The helper chunk passed all checks and is committed. I’m now checking the lifecycle chunk, which records each session’s home and keeps later transcript reads within that boundary.
Lint passed for the lifecycle chunk, and its full test run is still in progress. After that, I’ll finish the adoption/discovery commit and restore the five files of uncommitted edits.
The lifecycle chunk passed all checks and is committed. The final chunk covers adoption, attach, historical-home discovery, their regression tests, and the filesystem-safety documentation.
Lint passed for the final chunk. Once its tests finish, I’ll verify that the four commits reproduce the rebased tree exactly and that the original uncommitted edits restore unchanged.
All four commits passed mise run check, and their combined tree exactly matches the rebased branch. The original uncommitted edits are restored; I’m verifying they match the saved patch and running their two added regression tests.
Rebased hidde/adopt-across-agent-homes onto origin/main (89c2616087) and consolidated 13 commits into four:
- Review-test isolation
- Trusted agent homes and confined transcript readers
- Session lifecycle boundary enforcement
- Adoption and discovery across agent homes
mise run check passed for every commit. Your uncommitted edits were restored unchanged, and their regression tests passed.
Original history is backed up at backup/hidde-adopt-across-agent-homes-20261003. Nothing pushed.
