Former GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke launches Entire with a landmark $60 million seed round to build the world's next developer platform for the era of AI.
February 10, 2026 — Former GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke today announced the launch of Entire, a new developer platform designed for human-agent collaboration, backed by a landmark $60 million seed round at $300 million valuation. The round was led by Felicis, with participation from Madrona, M12, and Basis Set, 20VC, Cherry Ventures, Picus Capital, and Global Founders Capital. Entire is further backed by a slate of international investors, including Gergely Orosz (The Pragmatic Engineer), Theo Browne (T3 Chat), Jerry Yang (AME Cloud Ventures, previously Yahoo), Olivier Pomel (Datadog), Garry Tan (Y Combinator), and others.
Alongside the announcement, Entire is releasing its first open-source product today: Checkpoints, a new CLI tool that automatically captures AI agent context*—reasoning, prompts, and decisions—*on every Git commit.
"We are living through an agent boom, and now massive volumes of code are being generated faster than any human could reasonably understand. The truth is, our manual system of software production—from issues, to git repositories, to pull requests, to deployment—was never designed for the era of AI in the first place," said Entire CEO Thomas Dohmke. "Just like when automotive companies replaced the traditional, craft-based production system with the moving assembly line, we must now reimagine the software development lifecycle for a world where machines are the primary producers of code. This is the purpose of Entire: to build the world's next developer platform, where agents and humans collaborate, learn and ship together."
Entire is a remote-first globally distributed organization with 15 employees, bringing decades of experience building developer tools at organizations including GitHub and Atlassian. Entire's vision is built around three core components: a git-compatible database that unifies code, intent, constraints, and reasoning in a single version-controlled system; a universal semantic reasoning layer that enables multi-agent coordination through a context graph; and an AI-native user interface to reinvent the software development lifecycle for agent-to-human collaboration.
"As software moves from hands-on coding to orchestrating fleets of agents, it's becoming clear that the developer platforms we all rely on today were not built for this moment. Trying to bolt agents onto human-centric workflows is creating friction, complexity, and real bottlenecks across the ecosystem" said Aydin Senkut, Founder and Managing Partner at Felicis. "Entire is rethinking the developer platform from the ground up: AI-native, purpose-built, and designed for how software is actually made now. Thomas and his team are uniquely equipped to lead that shift, and we're thrilled to partner with them by leading Entire's seed round—the largest in developer tools history—as we work together to build a new home for developers and agents."
Entire's first release is an open-source project that automatically captures context from popular coding agents. With Checkpoints, every agent-generated commit is paired with a structured checkpoint that records the full session context, including transcripts, prompts, developers can review history, navigate agent context, and search the record of code produced by agents through an AI contribution graph. This data is stored directly in Git and visualized through a dedicated UI. Launching today with support for Anthropic's Claude Code and Google's Gemini CLI, Entire will extend support to all leading agents in the coming months, integrating with the broader developer tools space ahead of its platform launch later this year.
"Developer platforms have always evolved in generational waves. The next wave is emerging as AI agents are increasingly building on behalf of developers," said Michelle Gonzalez, CVP and Head of M12. "Entire is approaching this shift from first principles, architecting a new platform from the ground up for agent-to-human collaboration. We're excited to invest in Entire and support a team that is inventing a new paradigm of how developers and AI work together."
*"The incumbent advantage in software development is being erased. In the era of agents, it is clear that code can no longer be hosted, reviewed, or governed in the same way," said* Jerry Yang, Founding partner, AME Cloud Ventures, co-founder of Yahoo! "I am bullish on Entire's globally distributed team, timing, and crystal-clear vision. Together, we will build a new layer of the internet for code collaboration between agents and humans, and with it, a new home for the world's open-source community."
Entire is building the next developer platform for the era of AI agents - where humans and machines collaborate, learn and ship software together. The company plans to expand rapidly over the coming months as it grows to over 30 engineers and hundreds of agents.
